Matt & Jenny are an adventurous, fun-loving couple who enjoy the outdoors, gardening, their dogs, and road trips. They wrote their own vows, planned a beautiful wedding at Creekside Grove in Lenoxville, PA, and were blessed with a gorgeous sunny day for this special day in their lives! We were able to take a quick stop at Gin’s Tavern (Jenny’s uncle owns and runs it) and had fun getting some pictures of the girls at the bar. We were unexpected entertainment for the patrons as we tried to move tables, take pictures, and leave before the groom showed up (he couldn’t see the bride)! So, it was a bit crazy, lot of fun, wonderful celebration!
Dancing played a part in these two meeting and becoming instantly interested in each other, and as Megan puts it…”we haven’t stopped talking and dancing since!” And their first dance as man and wife and the dual father/daughter, mother/son dance were the most fun and well choreographed dances we have seen in a long time. Thanks for the entertainment guys! It sure made our job fun and we love the images we were able to capture of you two and all your friends at your wedding celebration! We wish you all the best and hope we get to work with more brides and grooms just like you!
These two engineers, who met at Stevens Institute of Technology, got married on an absolutely gorgeous day in July and we had a lovely time capturing beautiful pictures of their special day! We first met this bride and groom on their wedding day as, uncharacteristically, we were not able to meet them before due to logistics and distance. And yes, I got a bit nervous as a week before the wedding we were still trying to figure out the timeline with them. But it all worked out well, they were married in the beautiful St. Therese’s Church in Shavertown, and then partied at the picturesque Irem Clubhouse in Dallas. We loved telling your wedding day story in pictures, Cailin and Mike, and wish you all the best as Mr. & Mrs!
What do mini golf, the number 12, a golf resort, and a wedding have in common? When your first date, your engagement, and also your wedding are on the 12th of different months, and you love mini golf…you book a golf resort and have a fun wedding combining them all!
We had an exciting day with Brittney and Sean, although we had to avoid golfers and high wind incidents where the bride could have gotten injured by a flying pool umbrella (all the more memorable?). But Shadowbrook Resort helped tell the story of their time together, and was the perfect setting for their special day pledging themselves to each other as husband and wife. From taking photos on the mini golf course, to Sean chasing Brittney in the golf cart, to the table decorations, made by the bride, which were both beautiful and… golf-y, to the unusual cake (their favorite, a big brownie), we loved capturing images of this couple and who they are. And who they are together is just right!
We love to find out more about our brides and grooms, and these two love dancing, hiking, kayaking, and just spending time outdoors together, so we enjoyed getting some awesome photos of them at one of their favorite parks. They brought along their dog, Cash, and we went through a few contortions trying to get him in some pictures with them 🙂 but it all worked out great. We are looking forward to capturing your wedding day, Megan and Aaron, and photographing those ‘megawatt’ smiles you have when you are together. Thanks for the privilege!
Time wears many names, and as a Wedding Photographer, time wears the name flexibility, creativity (rain, wind, cold!), managing stress (your own and everyone else’s), and wonderful images no matter what the conditions and lighting! So, I love stylized shoots in my ‘down time’, just because I can control the settings, certainly much more than during a wedding! I put the outfits together, I use props, which I typically don’t use in my other photography, I am picky about time of day, and have specific places and posing that I am anxious to try. In other words, time wears the name relaxed anticipation and I have time to get exactly the images I am looking for. Time is freedom, and that allows me to be the most creative, artistic version of myself and get beautiful images of my client as well. See what you think!
These two were so much fun to shoot, along with their hyper-crazy dog, Cash! We were able to visit and get to know each other a bit before their big day in July, and Megan and Aaron squeezed their engagement shoot in right before closing on their first home together. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding, and your new home! We are so happy for you and are looking forward to capturing your special day!!
After a bit of a crazy start with trying to set up an engagement shoot, we met Alyson and Jimmy at Ricketts Glen, a beautiful park with waterfalls, bridges, and rock steps. Alyson hikes at the park and suggested it as a setting, and it was perfect! It was also a warm, sunny day in NEPA (and we had not had many of those yet this spring), so that made it even better.
Engagement shoots are fun because we have a more relaxed setting to get to know the bride and groom before their wedding and find out what makes them special as a couple. That helps all of us on their wedding day! So we laughed, had fun, got to know each other a bit, and we are really looking forward to photographing Alyson and Jimmy on their wedding day!
Here’s a few sneak peek photos from Alyson and Jimmy’s shoot at Ricketts Glen. We had beautiful weather, awesome backlighting, and these two were just perfect together! We enjoyed meeting you, Jimmy, and are looking forward to your and Alyson’s wedding.
Jenny & Matt’s love story proves that timing is everything! As they put it…”two souls searching for paths and careers in a new city,” and they found each other. They have had their bumps on the road, but always ended up back together.
These two know how to speak without words and we love that about their images! We loved taking and editing their photos and getting to know them a bit before shooting their wedding this summer. As photographers, we highly recommend an engagement shoot with your couple before the wedding, as it allows you to work together, get comfortable with each other, and learn the personalities of the bride and groom so you can customize their wedding poses and know better how to capture them.
We loved meeting another bride & groom here at the farm and having some time to spend with them. Jenny & Matt, you have quite a story, and I think it shows in your photos. Thanks for the privilege~we cannot wait to share your wedding day with you!
